If you prefer to use a mouse and keyboard for games, Xbox Cloud Gaming is shaping up to be a considerable platform. The company has supported peripherals for its beta version.
This means that games played on the Xbox Cloud Gaming service now support the keyboard and mouse, adjusting itself to meet your needs and can be set to your configuration.
Before this, Xbox Cloud Gaming and other cloud-based services centered on controller support, whether Bluetooth or wired, which is not applicable to all.
Xbox Cloud Gaming: Keyboard and Mouse Support Now in Beta

However, it is important to note that this is still in beta, a.k.a. the preview, said Microsoft, with supported browsers centering on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome only.
Fourteen games already support keyboard and mouse controls via Xbox Cloud Gaming, which is also available on the Xbox app on PCs for users who are part of the PC Gaming Preview.
Microsoft noted several bugs, issues, and limited availability for selected games in this keyboard and mouse support.
This includes Fortnite, which only supports keyboard and mouse on browsers, and Atomic Heart, which is having an issue switching from controller to keyboard and mouse while streaming.

How to Turn On Keyboard and Mouse Peripherals Support
All other 12 games may be enjoyed with the keyboard and mouse peripherals for both browsers and the Xbox PC app, with another extra step needed to turn it on.
By going to one's profile on the browser version of Xbox Cloud Gaming, users only need to go to Settings and enable "Preview features" to get their peripherals working with the selected games.
Xbox Cloud Gaming and its Service
Since the dawn of cloud-based gaming services, many players have already voiced their aspirations for these platforms to support keyboard and mouse. However, the adoption of these peripherals has been slow.
As early as 2022, gamers made massive requests to bring this, and many Microsoft insiders claimed that a feature would roll out soon. It was initially said to arrive by 2022 and then in 2023, but it has been unavailable until now.
To date, Microsoft's Xbox Cloud Gaming is one of the most recognized platforms for this experience. It offers an expansive library, intuitive gameplay, and more, with the internet connection being its top priority.
It was also said that plans to bring free, ad-supported access to Xbox Cloud Gaming sometime soon are being considered, but it would only be for regions like Africa, India, or Southeast Asia.
Since its inception in 2020, originally known as the xCloud, Microsoft's service has garnered massive subscribers to its platform, distributing the experience to various devices like mobile, smart TVs, PCs, and more.
Now, users on PCs may enjoy keyboard and mouse support under the current beta version, but not all games may already support this kind of gameplay.
